Wellfleet Drive-in

One of the most fun things to do in Cape Cod when resting from beaches is visiting Wellfleet Drive-in. This is a place that has its own mini-golf course and a playground that is set in front of a screen. Each night throughout the summer double features is shown, complete with a quintessential theater snack at the Grill and Dairy bar and a vintage welcome reel, making this a memorable family activity.

People who have already visited that place say that it’s a must go, but you should bring your own spray for bugs.

The tickets aren’t expensive. They are only 11 dollars for 12 to 61-year olds. Kids who age from 4 to 11 and elders who are older than 61 get tickets for 8 dollars. Always be sure to reserve the tickets in advance because it can be all packed up, especially on Fridays.

Cape Cod National Seashore

The east shore of the Lower Cape was designated by John F. Kennedy in 1961 to be a national park. Today, this 40-mile long shore is famous for its beautiful beaches like the Herring Cove and Race Point beaches in Provincetown, Marconi Beach in Wellfleet and Nauset Beach in Eastham.

Beyond these shores, you can find a lot of biking and hiking trails to explore, and 2 visitor centers that are really helpful. The seashore is also a great spot to witness the beautiful scenery of the beach.

Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge

Except for having more than 7500 acres of protected freshwater and salt marshes, dunes and a lighthouse this park also has a nesting place for various species of seabirds that migrate. In this refuge, there is also a place where the grey seals meet to play, mate and take in some sunshine.

You also have a choice to join the guided tour in the summer, or you can just wander by yourself on the beaches and take in all the beauty.

This refuge is open for the whole year, so you can visit it whenever you like.

Heritage Museums and Gardens

This is a place for everyone, from car lovers over the art lovers to nature lovers. This place has everything. The Josiah K. Lily antique car collection, which represents the evolution of cars, the art of American folks and also some hand-carved carousels.

This is also one of the romantic things to do in Cape Cod because this place has more than hundreds of acres of beautiful romantic gardens. You might even want to propose here.

The tickets are a little expensive, but worth the money. It is open from 10 am to 5 pm from April to October.

Cape Playhouse

Here we have one of the things to do in Cape Cod on a rainy day. This is the oldest theater that has lived for 90 seasons. The seats in this theater aren’t really comfortable, but the interior gives quite a beautiful theater experience. Some of the famous actors like Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, and Gregory Peck have acted here, so don’t let the look fool you.

The tickets can be a little expensive, but the critics say that it is worth the money spent. People say that this playhouse has a welcoming atmosphere.

One of the best things to do in Cape Cod at night is going to this bar. It is a great place for shows, and it has good lighting and sound system. The service is amazing and the waitresses are really doing a great job. It is definitely a good spot for a show, and plus if you have had dinner in the Central House before, you can let them know and you will have a reserved seating.
